Microsoft SQL Server 2005 compact |
The SQL Server 2005 Lite version is a lightweight Microsoft SQL Server 2005. This streamlined local database can be used on desktops, tablet PCs, or Windows Mobile/Windows Embedded ce devices. Developers can use the same database to develop applications that do not often need to be connected to the Microsoft Client platform. This database can also be used to locally store and synchronize data with other SQL Server 2005 versions. The SQL Server Lite version is also included in the ROM of the Windows Mobile 6 device. New default database |
EDB has replaced CEDB as the default database. CEDB is no longer used in Windows Mobile 6. |
Windows Mobile ink |
Windows Mobile ink is a platform implemented by the ink service on Windows Mobile 6 Professional and Windows Mobile 6 classic. It can interact with the ink data on the tablet PC through the ISF stream. It also provides APIs for collecting, identifying, rendering, and managing ink data. |

Windows Mobile marketplace |
Windows Mobile marketplace is a platform that allows users to directly browse, download, and install third-party software on their devices. These specific Windows Mobile tools and programs can help developers develop Windows Mobile applications. These tools include GPS, security, and resolution sensing tools. Cabsigntool makes it easier to sign multiple files at the time of publication. The cab wizard and wceload tool can help package files to be deployed on the device. Mobile phone Simulator |
Cellular emulator, or cellemu, provides the following functions:
- This desktop program is driven by the UI to make it easier to operate.
- The image in its device uses the radio driver of the actual product.
- Supports PPP data connections.
