1) Image Service Cache
Just like creating a cache for the map service, you can now create a server cache for the image service. The two use the same tool to create a cache.
2) create cache for custom regions of interest
When running the cache tool In ArcMap, you can draw a polygon to customize the cache area. Alternatively, you can create element classes as in previous versions.
3) create a cache using the GP Service
To avoid massive access to the map service, globe service, or image service during cache creation, the cache creation has been transferred to a geographical processing service called cachingtools for execution. This service has been configured when you create an ArcGIS Server site. You can limit that the cachingtools service runs in the specified cluster to release other servers on the site to quickly respond to service requests.
4) obtain detailed status reports during cache Creation
The detailed report records the progress of each level of cache created by the cache tool. ArcGIS Server contains a pre-configured reportingtools service to provide cache progress reports.
5) define the cache when publishing the service
You can create cache slicing mode and other parameters before you release the service,Including file size and slice level prompts. All cache attributes can be accessed in the "service Editor" dialog box no matter whether the service has been published or not. When you click the analysis button, you are warned about potential problems in slice mode.
6) provides the Cache Management Right-click menu
When the service defines the cache, you can right-click the service in the catalog tree and select "manage cache" to access many caching tools.
