(No. 00005) iOS game for explosive bullet players (2): Material Selection
Game protagonists and enemies
First, it is the game's main character. from the Internet, we can find all the animated textures of the people who have been riding various mounts. however, unfortunately, there are very few monsters in the bomber. I only found one full set of textures. therefore, we can try other methods for the monster material. The following is an animation of the effect of this cat or pig:
I also randomly found some materials from the Internet for animations of other enemies in the game:
If you want the animation to be more delicate, you need more animation frames. one of the best examples is the ultra-high-fidelity character movements that are purely animated in the Boxing King in the arcade. This is not something that most people can do.
Game background
The game background is spliced by a tile map. although each level is randomly generated, the content is similar. therefore, the amount of materials required is not large. Just find a few Atlas images. here, this cat chooses materials from the CatMaze game in the previous blog series, if you still remember ;)
Item Material
A prop is a tag, and its functions should be clearly displayed from the image. There are more than a dozen items in this game. Fortunately, we found all the item maps of the people who are popping up in NES on the Internet:
The above is just a part of my selection and is not used.
What else?
Well, the basic materials for games are roughly as many as above. however, in order to achieve more realistic results, we still need some auxiliary materials. for example, there is a jelly monster enemy that can be moved instantly. if it disappears directly and then suddenly becomes abrupt in a certain place, I found some smoke effects on the Internet:
It sets off an instant movement.
The game materials are almost introduced. In the next blog, we will complete the game functions one by one based on the previous objectives. see you ;)
