No fault is displayed at startup. (No alarm sound)
Step 2: First, check whether the external wiring of the computer is connected, and re-insert the connections to check whether the fault is rectified.
Step 2: If the fault persists, open the trunk box to check whether there is any excess metal in the chassis, or short circuit caused by deformation of the motherboard. Then, smell whether the chassis is burnt or not, and whether there are burned chips on the motherboard, whether the capacitor around the CPU is damaged or not.
Step 2: if not, clean the dust on the motherboard and check whether the computer is normal.
Step 2: If the fault persists, unplug the reset line and other switches and indicator lines on the motherboard, and then use the change cone short-circuit switch to check whether the system can be turned on.
Step 2: If the device cannot be started, use the minimum system method to unplug the data cable of the hard drive, soft drive, and optical drive, and then check whether the computer can be started up. If the computer displays the boot screen, the problem is found on these devices. Then, the above devices are connected to the computer one by one. When a device is connected, the fault is reproduced, indicating that the fault is caused by the device, and then the device is checked.
Step 1: If the fault persists, the fault may be caused by memory, video card, CPU, motherboard, and other devices. Check whether the memory, video card, CPU, and other devices are normal by using the plugging and switching methods. If there is any damaged device, replace the damaged device.
Step 2: If the memory, video card, CPU, and other devices are normal, discharge the bios and use the isolation method to place the motherboard outside the chassis and connect it to the memory, video card, CPU, and other devices for testing, if the computer is displayed, install the motherboard in the chassis for testing until the cause of the fault is found. If the fault persists, return the motherboard to the manufacturer for repair.
Step 2: no alarm is reported when the computer is started. When the computer is started, the system BIOS starts post (power-on self-check). When a device on the computer is detected to have a fatal error, then control the speaker to send a sound report error. Therefore, a fault that does not display alarm sound during startup may occur. If no warning sound is displayed during computer startup, you can check the faulty device based on the BIOS alarm sound to eliminate the fault.
When there are too many other users, there are too many other users who want to handle these issues.
Fault diagnosis cannot be performed because the indicator light does not light
When the computer fails to start up, follow these steps:
(1) first, check whether the computer's power cord is properly connected. If the connection is normal, open the trunk box and check whether the power cord of the motherboard is properly connected to the power interface of the motherboard.
(2) If the connection is normal, check whether there are any excess metal in the chassis or observe whether the motherboard is in contact with the chassis. If yes, the system may fail to start up due to a short circuit.
(3) If there is no excess metal in the chassis and the motherboard is not in contact with the chassis, unplug the power switch line of the motherboard, and use tweezers to short-circuit the power switch interface of the motherboard. If the computer can be started, it may be that the power switch connection line on the chassis has poor contact or damage. You can repair the power switch line.
(4) If the computer cannot be started after the power switch of the motherboard fails, unplug the power cord from the motherboard, use a wire to short-circuit the green hole of the power connector connecting the motherboard Power interface and the black hole next to it. Check whether the fan of the power supply rotates. If the fan does not rotate, the power supply may be damaged. Change the power supply.
If the power supply fan rotates, the fault may be caused by the switch circuit fault of the motherboard. Then, use a multimeter to test the switch circuit of the motherboard and eliminate the fault.
When there are too many other users, there are too many other users who want to handle these issues.
Some Fault Causes for no boot:
1. replug the video card to troubleshoot the fault.
The memory is wiped clean again to eliminate the fault.
3. Memory Stick replacement slots to eliminate faults.
4 Memory failure, change memory. (Alarms will be triggered on the motherboard)
5. the reboot and switch lines of the chassis are short-circuited. Just change the lines.
6. the motherboard is broken.
7. Video Card fault. (Capacitor burst of the video card)
8cmos battery is bad. (It will be normal for another one)
When there are too many other users, there are too many other users who want to handle these issues.
Overview of motherboard BIOS alarm signals
Award BIOS
1 short: the system starts normally. Your machine has no problems.
2 short: A general error occurs. Enter CMOS setup and reset the incorrect options.
1 long and 1 short: memory or motherboard error. Try another memory. If it still doesn't work, you have to replace the motherboard.
1 long 2 short: Incorrect display or display card.
1 long 3 short: Incorrect keyboard controller. Check the motherboard.
1 long 9 short: The Flash Ram or EPROM on the motherboard is incorrect, and the BIOS is damaged. Try changing block Flash Ram.
Constant sound (long sound): the memory stick is not plugged in or damaged. Re-insert the memory stick. If it still does not work, only one memory will be replaced.
The power supply and display are not connected to the display card. Check all the plugs.
Duplicate short response: power supply problems.
No sound, no display: power supply problems. Or the power is not on :)
Ami BIOS
1 short: failed to refresh the memory. Replace the memory stick.
2 short: Memory ECC is incorrect. In CMOS setup, setting the ECC check option to disabled can solve the problem. However, the most fundamental solution is to change the memory.
3 short: the system basic memory (1st 64kb) Check failed. Change memory.
4 short: system clock error.
5 short: the CPU is incorrect.
6. Short: the keyboard controller is incorrect.
7. Short: The system real-time mode is incorrect and cannot be switched to the protection mode.
8: memory error is displayed. The Display memory is faulty. Try changing the video card.
9 short: rom bios check and error.
1 long 3 short: memory error. Memory Corruption. Change the memory.
1 long, 8 short: The test error is displayed. The display data line is not plugged in or the display card is not plugged in
