2. Set telnet-server startup

The telnet server is not run as an independent server, but is controlled by the xinetd program. The STARTUP configuration file is/etc/xinetd. d/telnet. By default, the xinetd program does not start the service. You can see that telnet is disabled in chkconfig -- list./etc/xinetd. in d/telnet, disable = yes can be used to start the telnet server in the following way:

1) chkconfig telnet on // This command modifies the configuration of/etc/xinetd. d/telnet and sets disable = no

2) service xinetd restart

Run chkconfig -- list again to see that the telnet server has been started.
