Notes for installing PostgreSQL in Windows

After installing PostgreSQL, configure it:

Three configuration files of postgresql:

C: \ Program Files \ PostgreSQL \ 8.3 \ data \ pg_0000.conf

C: \ Program Files \ PostgreSQL \ 8.3 \ data \ pg_ident.conf

C: \ Program Files \ PostgreSQL \ 8.3 \ data \ PostgreSQL. conf

 

After editing them, remember to restart the postgresql service to make the settings take effect.

 

1. If the local machine has multiple IP addresses, set them in PostgreSQL. conf:

Listen_addresses = '*'

Or create a specific IP address.

 

2. Specify the machine or network segment that can access PostgreSQL in pg_cmd.conf.

 

3. Create a login role for login.

 

4. Pay the role permission when creating a database or data table.
