Notes on installation and configuration of Panabit in Linux

I recently studied the linux-based FREEBSD-based Open Source Control Software Panabit. I feel that the function is good. If a company has insufficient funds, you can use this software for Intranet traffic control, the latest free version of ISO images only supports bridge and bypass modes, 256 concurrent IP addresses, and 65535 concurrent connections, basically meeting the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises for intranet use. Because the bridge mode supports traffic control, the former is used in this test, and the VM uses vmware9.0. Below is a simple summary:

1. create a new FreeBSD x64 Virtual Machine Under vmware, create three NICs (em0, em1, em2), and load the Panabit iso image virtual disc. Here, we need to make the bridge mode, therefore, we recommend that the virtual machine implement two virtual network segments vmnet0 and vmnet1. Then, vmnet0 is bound to the Virtual Machine Internet port em0 and the management network port em2, and vmnet1 is bound to the internal network port em1.

2. Start installation after configuration is complete.

Enter the account root password root

Enter system input./setup to start installation. Follow the Configuration:

 

3. After installation, configure em0, em1, and em2.

Select em2 as the management network port according to the bridging method configured by the VM, set an intranet IP address, mask, and gateway, and restart the server after Configuration:

4. Access https: // 192.168.7.51 after restart to enter the web Management Interface
