The basic steps of the Oracle document are described as follows:

1. Log On As A root user

To install the software, you need the root permission. In addition, because it is generally not installed on the local machine, you also need Linux to support X windows and install xterm.

2. Confirm hardware requirements, memory

To understand basic requirements, such as Oracle11gR2 and at least 1 GB memory, run the following command to view

3. software requirements, operating systems, kernels, and various packages

4. Create users and groups

Includes three groups of one user, Oracle Installation group-oinstall, OSDBA group-dba, user-oracle, OSOPER group-Users

View the dba group:

# Grep dba/etc/group

If not, create the command:

#/Usr/sbin/groupadd oinstall

Check whether the oracle user exists and whether the user belongs to the corresponding group

If an Oracle user exists, the group is incorrect:

#/Usr/sbin/usermod-g oinstall-G dba oracle
