NVIDIA Optimus Introduction: http://baike.baidu.com/view/4266252.htm
Okay, the problem is that Xorg and the official driver are all problems.
Currently, the solution enables the BIOS to disable a video card.
Can the set display be disabled, but there seems to be no such option in the BIOS of the notebook,
In win7, the black screen is disabled. What is the situation in u?
Machines using this technology include gt420m, gt0000m, gt435m, gt445m, and gt550m.
I use Asus n53 as an example to explain how to solve this problem.

First, go to my resource site to download things
Http://down.51cto.com/data/225275
Download the package and decompress it to your personal directory. For example, my files are/home/luozhuang.
The following uses the/home/luozhuang/Bumblebee directory as an example:
CD/home/luozhuang/bumblebee
Sudo./install. Sh
Run
Ubuntu-based distribution found.
Welcome to the bumblebee installation v.1.6.40
Licensed under Red Bull, beer-ware license and GPL
This will enable you to utilize both your intel and NVIDIA card
Please note that this script will probably only work with Ubuntu, Debian, opensuse and Fedora based machines
And has (by me) only been tested on Ubuntu natty 11.04 and Fedora 14 but shoshould work on others as well
Are you sure you want to proceed ?? (Y/N)

It is important to let you choose your machine and operating system. This is where the software problem arises.
Only a limited local version is supported, but the advantage is that the laptops are all made on a large scale and there are just a few graphics cards.
For example, if my machine meets the general requirements, the operating system must be correct.
My n53sn is the same no matter what Sn or sl, I can select 1.
The image transport is how the images are transferred from
NVIDIA card to the intel card, people has different experiences
Performance, but just select the default if you are in doubt.
I recently found out that YUV and JPEG both has some lagging
This is only noticable in fast moving games, such as 1st person
Shooters and for me, its only good enough with XV, even though
XV sets down performance a little bit.
1) YUV
2) JPEG
3) proxy
4) XV (default)
5) RGB
Generally, it means the output mode. I think the default value is 4, which is enough. The picture can be 1 or 2, but there will be a delay in watching movies or FPS.

After that you shoshould be able to start applications with "optirun32 <Application>" or "optirun64 <Application>"
Optirun32 can be used for legacy 32-bit applications and wine games... everything else shocould work on optirun64
It means optirun32 + application or optirun64 + application.
Finally, let me talk about it:
We recommend that you install the new Ubuntu version. I have already tried 10.04. Because there is no intel graphics card driver, you may be in trouble.
Bumblebee can only solve the problem of turning off the video card. It cannot run VMware or 3D acceleration.
If your machine cannot Bumblebee, install Ubuntu 11.04. This is nothing more than whether the machine is hot or usable.
Problem:
The 11.04 + intel card running unity is still unstable. I changed fedora 15 + gnome 3 and often crashed...
In short, it is still a big problem...
