Obtain the absolute path of a program in Linux

Source: Internet
Author: User

Environment: Linux/Unix, C ++, GCC

Sometimes we need to obtain the absolute path of the program. The function is similar to PWD. The system provides a getcwd () function, but not necessarily the absolute path of the program.

The following code obtains the absolute path of a program.

# Include <unistd. h>
// Obtain the absolute path of the program.

Char * Pwd (char * path, int size = 4096)
{
// Save the working directory
Char * tmppath = (char *) malloc (size );
// Change to the current directory
Chdir ("./");
// Obtain the working path
Getcwd (path, size );
Chdir (tmppath );
Delete tmppath;
Return path;
}
