Mellanox plans to launch 50gb/s and 200gb/s Direct copper cables (DACs), shunt copper (QSFP56 to 4x SFP56), silicon-based photonic technology, 200-metre-long active optical cables (AOCS) and silicon transceivers with a transmission distance of up to 2 km. In addition, Mellanox's 200gb/s cable and transceiver family of products will be seamlessly compatible with previous generations of 40gb/s and 100gb/s networks.
