Installation instructions

General notes:

Service Pack 1 is formed over time, including all patches released by ArcGIS 10.1 so far. If you have installed a previously released patch, Service Pack 1 will overwrite these patches to update the required files.

ArcGIS for desktop 10.1:

• To install ArcGIS for desktop, you must be a system administrator or have advanced permissions in the deployment environment.

• To avoid any software conflicts, it is critical to ensure that the ArcGIS 10.1 product installed on the same computer has the same release version.

• If the client installer is installed through a shared network administrative ArcGIS Desktop installer, ensure that Service Pack 1 is applied to all client installers.
