Old Version Ubuntu update source
Ubuntu normal versions support a limited amount of time. After the support time expires, the update source will be disabled. For example, all original sources in Ubuntu 9.10 will be invalid (including official sources, similar to the third-party source of ustc, because these third-party sources are also synchronized with the official source ). Therefore, update software cannot be installed directly using the original source list. To solve this problem, Ubuntu official dedicated an old-release image (http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/), you can use this source update. For example, the 9.10 source list is as follows:
Deb http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ karmic main restricted universe multiverse
Deb http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ karmic-security main restricted universe multiverse
Deb http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ karmic-updates main restricted universe multiverse
Deb http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ karmic-proposed main restricted universe multiverse
Deb http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ karmic-backports main restricted universe multiverse
Deb-src http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ karmic main restricted universe multiverse
The deb-src http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ karmic-security main restricted universe multiverse
Deb-src http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ karmic-updates main restricted universe multiverse
Deb-src http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ karmic-proposed main restricted universe multiverse
Deb-src Co., http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/. karmic-backports main restricted universe multiverse
For other Ubuntu Linux versions, you only need to change karmic to its version code. In this way, the expired version can be used again.
