OLTP: on-line transaction processing online transaction processing system, also known as a transaction-oriented processing system. Its basic feature is that customers' raw data can be immediately transmitted to the Computing Center for processing, the processing result is provided in a short time.

OLAP: On-lineanalyticalprocessing online analysis and processing system. The data converted from the raw data that truly understands the user and truly reflects the multidimensional features of the enterprise is called information data, enables analysts, administrators, or administrators to quickly, consistently, and interactively access information data from multiple perspectives, so as to gain a more in-depth understanding of data.

OLTP and OLAP are two types of databases that can be managed by sqlserver.
