On IC Card

The first time I heard of RFID, I learned the charm of RFID in the RFID application lab jointly established by the School of transport and NEC at the technical application visit organized by the sophomore school.

However, we also learned that the traditional bar code is not very suitable for the current market environment due to its limitation in recognition methods, and RFID is providing a feasible solution at a low price. Its main application links are in the production and counting, transportation management and sales management, and it also has a unique effect in the aspect of commodity theft. Since then, I have searched for related information in the library, and finally locked it into the RF communication technology and embedded on-chip system applications. From now on, the essence of the so-called RF communication technology is also the effect of radio wave communication and electromagnetic. As for the application of embedded on-chip systems, the key lies in the understanding of chips, but it was not clear at the time, but with curiosity and interest.

I heard that a company next to the school did a great job in this area, so I volunteered to call the internship in the summer of my junior year. From then on, I was exposed to smart IC cards and mobile payments ".

In the following time, I learned about the card reader and card circuit, the and ISO/iec7816 protocols, and I was not concerned about the chip. I honestly said that it was hard to read those things. I am interested in card encryption and decryption and communication protocols, but I am suffering from the programming capability and time limit at that time. Further research will be put on hold. At that time, the company was cooperating with China Unicom to develop mobile payment. As a result, there was no chance to go deeper due to an internship.

However, I have never interrupted the information related to the Smart IC card.
