On Knowledge interface: integration of knowledge and industry

Information, knowledge, and wisdom

Let's talk about my understanding of the knowledge funnel (mystery, heuristic, algorithm) introduced by Xu Hao.

I have also divided into three categories: information, knowledge and wisdom.

• Information: information is what we can perceive directly, including what we can hear and find.

• Knowledge: Knowledge is the processing of information and the product of brain thinking.

• Wisdom: wisdom is the use of knowledge, which is reflected in human actions.

Example:

• The sun rises from the east every day, and the sky passes by. The sky falls from the West. This is information.

• Some People infer that the sun rotates around the earth based on the laws of the sun. This is knowledge, calendar, and knowledge.

• It is wise to broadcast the autumn harvest in spring according to the calendar.

Why it matters

This is related to our progress. knowledge guides our actions and determines our progress. However, if knowledge is always the product of personal brain thinking, it has obvious limitations and cannot be copied. information is the opposite. It has no personal color and is the same for everyone. The key point is that it is objective and easy to copy.

The implications of knowledge make it impossible for us to start from the original information for every action, to think and form knowledge, and then to act based on thinking. in this way, everyone will start from ignorance, repeat the questions with available answers, and reinvent the wheel, and the progress in just a few decades will end with the end of life.

The characteristics of easy information replication give us a way to turn knowledge into information and turn it into objective, in vitro artificial products.

The development of society and science is like this. to some extent, the difference between people disappears: everyone faces the ocean of the same information. the difference between people is reflected in the use of information and specific actions.

Integration of knowledge and industry

Writing a book or talking with people can make your understanding of the world more objective. In addition, your understanding of the world and the world's understanding of you can only be done through what you can observe. in other words, you are a black box, and external behaviors define you. if what you know cannot be reflected in external behaviors, your internal status will not have an observability impact on the world. at this point, your actions are the responses of your knowledge and wisdom.
