On the bias/variance tradeoff in machine learning

I've never figured out what bias is, what is variance, and now look at this blog post.

When your model is too simple, that is, your train error is too big, your bias will be larger, and when your model becomes complex, bias becomes smaller, and the models become larger senstive,variance.

But the bias has changed even more, and the overall view is that cross-validation is still falling. When a certain point is over, the situation reverses.
