One-click ghost floppy disk graphic tutorial
Install and run ghost on a floppy disk
I. Production:
1. Prepare a new 3.5 floppy disk and make sure it is in the writable state ".
2. Download-> decompress-> double-click "ghost .exe"-> "OK ".
3. Insert the floppy disk into the floppy disk and click "OK ".
4. Wait until the installation is successful.
* A "disk error..." prompt may appear during the installation process. Please click "Terminate". Otherwise, correct use may be affected.
Solution: use another floppy disk or another computer to recreate the disk.
2. Set CMOS(Skip this step if you have previously set or temporarily booted a USB flash drive ):
1. Press the "Del" key to enter CMOS, enter the first "Standard CMOS Features", and press Enter.
2. Press Drive A and press PageDown to select 2.88 M, 3.5 in ".
Note: This step is very important and must be set to 2.88 M. If it is set to 1.44M or other options, it will not start successfully!
3. Press ESC to return to the CMOS Main Menu, press Advanced to Advanced BIOS Features, and press Enter.
4. Press "reboot" to "First Boot Device", and press "PageDown" to select "Floppy ".
5. Press ESC to return to the CMOS Main Menu, press F10, Y, and press enter (save and exit CMOS), and restart automatically.
Note:
Take the most common CMOS settings as an example. For details, see the built-in manual for the motherboard.
Of course, you can also temporarily call the Drive menu by pressing F12 (or F10, ESC) and other function keys at startup, and select Floppy Drive (Floppy Drive) to guide the Floppy disk.
3. Start:
Insert a floppy disk before boot or restart (if you need to temporarily call the drive dish, please call the method above), wait a few minutes ....
Depending on the situation (whether the C disk image exists), different subwindows are automatically entered from the main window:
Case 1. If no backup exists, the "backup" window is displayed.
Case 2. If yes, the "Restore" window is displayed:
After "backup" or "Restore" is selected, the GHOST window appears:
Note: Due to the limited capacity of the floppy disk, the function is limited compared with other versions:
1. GHOST still uses version 8.3 and cannot restore the GHO image generated by Version 11.0 or later.
2. If there is no NTFS partition, one-click Backup of the C disk image can only be saved to the root directory of the last partition.
3. Two or more hidden partitions cannot be identified.
4. Advanced formatting is not supported.
5. dostoolbox not supported
Therefore, if the system environment permits, try to use hard drive, optical drive, and USB drive.
