Preparation:

Old COMPUTER: 410 m (discontinued in, the system is XP, mentioned mainly because of a problem encountered in the middle)

Server System: Ubuntu server 14.04 (LTs)

Try 1:

Use XP to install an XP and Ubuntu dual-system Linux server. On the Ubuntu official website, select the latest lts version 14.04. Do not note that the 64-bit system is downloaded. During installation, the system prompts that the CPU is incompatible, the memory size is insufficient. So I downloaded a new system based on the error message. Due to poor English, I only understood i686, and I did not know much about computer hardware. I found the corresponding address on the official website for a long time, we can see that there is a server version similar to i386, So download and install it, use the hard disk for installation, and restart the installation after boot, at the beginning of the installation, I encountered a problem: "I couldn't find the optical drive during hardware detection." In fact, I didn't find the source program. I understand this. I don't know the more professional explanation, in this case, the attempt fails. No good solutions have been found. Conclusion 1:

① 14.04lts system: http://releases.ubuntu.com/trusty/

② Select server and desktop

③ 64-bit and 32-bit options

④ Select ISO and win for the installer format

⑤ Hard disk installation failed. The specific solution is unknown

Try 2:

Wubi installs ubuntu14.04ltsdesktop. If you do not know why the error is unknown, do not describe it for the time being. In this way, you can install software directly on windows. In the next step, you can click OK, it is unclear what happened.

Try 3:

After a failure due to the direct installation of the hard disk, a friend was anxious. He hoped to have an interface, that is, to install the desktop version, so he decided to use a USB flash disk to install the desktop version, on the partition page, click "continue installation". After the XP and Ubuntu instances are installed, the program is installed in the same way. The installation fails due to unknown reasons (this problem was also encountered during previous installation, at that time, I forgot to record the solution. This time I forgot it, and I didn't find the ideal method.) I hope my friends can give me some advice to supplement it.

After partitioning, choose to continue the installation and stay on the page without performing the next step. The specific solution is unknown.

Try 4:

　　Finally, I decided to fight for the last time. I first wanted to install the server version. The installation method was as follows: install XP and Ubuntu server14.04lts on a USB flash drive.

① Preparation: Download Ubuntu server; download ultraiso;

② Insert a USB flash disk and create and install the disk:
