Second, the process:

I recall that I did not uninstall SQL Server2000 properly before reinstalling the operating system. Because the operating system was reinstalled, the folder where SQL Server was installed was manually removed, and the registry was run, and all the dependencies of SQL Server were removed from the registry. Restart installation of SQL Server, and the warning message above can still appear. I repeatedly looked up SQL Server dependencies in the registry and cleaned it up with Windows Optimizer master, and restarted multiple times. The failure still exists.

I'm analyzing a program that might have a conflict with a SQL Server installer. I press the F8 key when I reboot the system, select "Safe Mode" to enter the system, run SQL Server Setup, when the previous warning box information is gone, then go all the way next, copy and install the file, but when the data server is configured, it is found to be running for a long time, At that time is going to work, I think anyway, just let it continue to "configure" it, then let the machine run, decided to work the next day to see the results ┉┉

The next day at work, I went straight to the computer, the results found that the computer is still "Configure the server", more than 10 hours have not been configured well, it seems safe mode is not good, had to restart the computer in normal mode.

Go to Control Panel-Add/Remove program, at this time I see the installed items are: Borland Delphi7, Office2000, PowerWord 2002 Professional Edition, I think is not to want these installed programs and SQL Server installation program conflict, I removed the above program one at a A and then reinstalled SQL Server for each deletion to find out which program was in conflict. The results are still not installed successfully. Do you really want to format the hard drive? Because I just did not have WIN2000 boot CD, because the unit LAN all the computers are founder computer Rocky series, the computer configuration is the same, I put a piece also installed WIN2000 server version and SQL Server2000 hard disk as the main disk installed to my computer, My computer's hard drive as from the disk, the main disk and from the disk have been divided into C, D, E, f four areas. Wonder, I entered the "My Computer", into D disk, found in D disk originally installed in all the content is not, oh, I remember, I used to install the SQL Server and other applications I was installed in D disk, I formatted the "G" area is actually D disk, but also the conflict of the program grid dropped.

Then I immediately install Office2000, is also a good trip, soon Office2000 also installed. The other programs are then installed successfully. The system and application software are now running normally.

Second: I want to mention this powerword. I first installed in the system PowerWord 2002 mini version, and then feel that this version of the professional vocabulary is very small, I did not normally uninstall PowerWord 2002 Mini version of the case, installed PowerWord 2002 Professional Edition, of course, can run PowerWord Professional Edition.
