Open a port in Windows 7 firewall settings

Sometimes, when someone else needs to connect to your local machine to access the website, the firewall will block external access, you can open a local port for others to access.

1. Find the Firewall

2. Click Advanced Settings.

3. Click "inbound rules" and then "new rule ":

4. Click "Port"

5. Enter the port number you want to open. I will use 9999 here:

6. By default, the next step is to give your settings a name. Whatever you want, I will use pass9999point here to let port 9999 pass

7. Click Finish. You can see the rules you set in the list, and then the port can be accessed by the outside world, without closing all the firewalls:
