IPhone4 and Iphone4s's HD retina displays are stunning, and many people may not know that Apple is actually planning to provide HD display support for the retina resolution of the MAC. Although we can't get it now, we can open the hidden feature of the lion system by using the gadget provided in Xcode.
First we can go to the Mac App store and download the Xcode4.2 version for free. After the installation is complete, open the Quartz Debug tool in the developer "Applications" Graphics tools directory.
Open the UI resolution feature under the Windows menu of the Quartz Debug Top toolbar, and in the popup dialog box, open the "Enable HiDPI display Modes" mode.
The next time you log in, the system will enable HIDPI HD Retina display mode.
In hidpi mode, all icons and backgrounds are displayed with double resolution. Although the LCD screen on your Mac does not support such a high resolution, the effect is noticeable when the icon is enlarged.
