OpenDesktop 1.0 Open Desktop operating system CD-ROM boot installation process detailed Illustration _ Installation tutorial

Premise: Your CD can be started directly, the recommended use of CD-ROM to start the installation, burning disc to pay special attention to the use of 64-letter long file name of the recording software.

First, the preparatory work:
1. Note the size of each partition before installation, to facilitate the selection of partitions to check to avoid operation errors, loss of useful data.
2. Prepare a OpenDesktop 1.0 CD-ROM. Opendesktop-i386-disc.iso The official Free download address is:

Pre-download Opendesktop-i386-disc.iso has three questions:
(1). OPENDESKTOP-FONTS-ZH_CN-EN-MINIMAL-0.1-1_OPENDESKTOP_1_0_RC3.NOARCH.RPM's name was cut into Opendesktop-fonts-zh_. Cn-en-minimal-0.1-1_opendesktop_1_0_rc3.noa
(2). control-center-2.4.0-3.i386.rpm File Damage
(3). omni-0.9.0-4.i386.rpm file corruption
How to modify: Edit with UltraISO V6.52 (1). Renamed to (2) and (3) re-downloading from the internet, and replaced so as to fix the Opendesktop-i386-disc.iso; Download address:

3. Leave an empty partition for OpenDesktop system installation. I leave the C disk FAT32 file system, the installation program will format the partition, if there are important number of backup.

ii. opendesktop CD-ROM installation
Set the disc as the first boot disk, put it in the installation disc, reboot the computer, and if your CD can start automatically, it will appear as shown in Figure 1 below:

In particular, here's a list of all the partitions on your hard drive (I have only one partition here), and just think about how you will install OpenDesktop with that partition, because the partition will be formatted by the installer (will be prompted), or you can check "Advanced partitioning mode". Advanced partition settings for the next step. Use the UP or DOWN ARROW keys to select the partition you want to install and click the Next button, which appears as follows Figure 4

Tip You are about to delete the selected partition. Because the selected partition is originally FAT32 file system format, Setup deletes the partition and then creates a Linux-formatted partition, and if the selected partition is originally Linux-formatted, the installer prompts for the partition, and when you click the "Delete" button, it appears as follows Figure 5

third, the function set up
Accustomed to the Windows operating system, I have just installed the OpenDesktop 1.0 system, as if into a maze, after the installation of the system driver did not know? I can't see other windows partitions, like I'm stuck in an abyss, I can't surf the internet, lose my way, I don't install programs, etc. I don't know what the system is for. If you feel the same way, please look down:

Four, uninstall the OpenDesktop 1.0 system method:
