Windows may have some system failures due to crashes, abnormal shutdowns, and so on. For example, a cross-linked file (that is, two files or directories in the file allocation table share the same disk space), and so on. To resolve this issue, Microsoft provides ScanDisk in Dos/windows9x. Windows2000/xp/2003/vista is usually found at startup and asks the user to determine if CHKDSK is running for checking, even if running chkdsk again when you go into Windows, because windows2000/xp/ 2003/vista does not allow repair failures in protected mode (even if a fault is found). At the same time, since the boot check is time-consuming, some users choose to skip the check when there is a problem, the problem may become more and more serious, even cause the system crashes.
In this respect, Windows Optimization Master provides the system disk Doctor function to Windows2000/xp/2003/vista users. It can not only help users to check and fix the system faults, such as file allocation table, directory structure, file system and so on, due to the system crash, abnormal shutdown and other reasons. More automatic rapid detection system is required to do the above inspection work to help users save a lot of time.
The use of this feature is very simple, enter the system Disk Doctor interface, select the disk to check, click "Check" can be. Users can select multiple disks (partitions) at a time for inspection, while the user can also terminate the inspection at any time during the inspection process.
System Disk Doctor's setup options are described below:
(1) Scan all protected system files and replace the incorrect version with the correct Microsoft version. Click "Scan", and Windows Optimizer will invoke the system's file protector to scan all protected system files, noting that the user may be required to insert the Windows installation CD during the scan check. It is recommended that users take a little time to perform this check before running the system disk doctor.
(2) Prompt when the system disk Doctor cannot monopolize the volume to be inspected or repaired. Prior to the scan, Windows tuning Master prompts the user to continue if it detects a volume that he or she cannot exclusively check, and if you do not want the prompt to annoy you, do not select it.
(3), System disk Doctor in the process of checking disk to automatically fix the errors found. Select the item, System disk doctor will attempt to fix it automatically if an error is found during the inspection process. Note: Because the system disk doctor needs to fully obtain write permission for the disk (logical volume) when fixing the error, if the user has a virus firewall, chat software in the background. , the system disk Doctor prompts you to fail to obtain this permission before checking. At this point, you can select OK to continue checking, or Cancel to close the background program before checking. Select OK, the system disk doctor will not forcibly fix the found failure, but will try to fix it. Another: Users can use the WOPTI process management master to close other running programs.
Note: When the system disk doctor cannot exclusive a volume for a repair operation, CHKDSK is automatically invoked at the next system startup to fix it.
(4), System disk Doctor lists the detailed information of the analysis process during the inspection of the disk. Select the item, and during the check system disk Doctor will show the process of detailed analysis.
(5), System disk doctor before checking the disk, first analyze whether the disk needs to be checked. Select this item before you start checking system disk Doctor will automatically analyze whether the disk needs to be checked, that is, similar to the Dos/windows9x boot can automatically determine whether the need to do ScanDisk. If the system disk doctor checks that the system data is normal, the next step is no longer checked.
(6), the system disk doctor after all items are checked, the free space of the disk is verified and analyzed. Select the item, and the system disk doctor will perform a disk surface scan similar to dos/windows9x under ScanDisk at the end of all inspections. System Disk Doctor will analyze the disk for bad sectors, and if a damaged sector is found, as with other physical disk error correction software, the Windows Optimizer master will mark the sector as "poor" to isolate the sector from causing harm.
Click "Recommend" to save settings by clicking "OK" by the Master of optimization for recommended options.
Click "Check", the Windows Optimization Master will give a detailed inspection results, but also give you some advice.
