Features
Easy to configure
As an independent platform, OptiView Wan analyzer supports both ATM and SONET on OC3 and OC12 links. The Wan analyzer is compact and has a half-rack width of 1U high). It supports single-mode and multi-mode modes on its hardware interfaces. This design can meet the needs of high-speed network links or wide area network technology in the future.

The OptiView Wan analyzer can monitor both upstream and downstream high-speed links to display and analyze full-duplex traffic at the same time.
The Wan analyzer has a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet RJ-45 Management port that can be remotely managed by using Optiview Wan analyzer remote control software as part of the WAN analyzer product, up to 8 users can access and perform different analyses online at the same time. Network Management settings are easy, such as setting SNMP "traps", device search range, and remote user access to the WAN analyzer.
The wide area network analyzer can support both OC3 and OC12, or OC3 separately, with the same functions.
Comprehensive Wan Analysis
The Wan analyzer provides rich graphical information on the homepage of the test interface. You can easily access the analysis items you are interested in through the link on the homepage.

When your wide area analyzer is connected to the wide area network link of OC3 or OC12, it continuously monitors the SONET and ATM layers and immediately discovers and confirms faults on the physical layer. Tracking link usage and automatic detection of VC virtual circuits) to provide utilization, throughput, and error statistics. It clearly tells you the VC with the highest traffic and the most errors. The Advanced Device search function can use RMON to display all devices that communicate on the WAN network link. For example, the highest application protocol statistics, the highest conversation host statistics, and the most application type statistics, maximum dialog host statistics.
Device search can automatically classify network devices, such as hosts, servers, switches, routers, and other network devices. The network search function can automatically discover all VPNs/VC used by the ATM, including MPLS information, and identify 35 different ATM and PoS encapsulation types.
You can view a VC or all VC visually and analyze the data, including utilization, CRC error, CLP, or other specified type of cell traffic, you can selectively view the detailed results of a VC or all VC combinations.
SONET and ATM errors and alarms
The OptiView Wan analyzer can detect the most common errors and alarms that occur on SONET and ATM links. For example, SONET errors include signal loss, frame loss, AIS/RDI alarm, interference code, or error time. ATM errors include LOCD and HEC cells, these reports are collected in a digital table.

If the error exceeds the threshold, you can report it in the fault log.
Device search and analysis
Device search
The searched devices are displayed as source and destination IP devices in the WAN link. The IP address and device name DNS, NetBIOS, or SNMP are displayed for all the devices that have been searched ). The Wan analyzer classifies the device in different forms, such as routers, servers, SNMP proxies, and user hosts. All devices can be indexed based on specified properties, such as virtual circuits, IP addresses, and names. You can also click the "Detail" button to view the details of the selected device. In this way, you can locate which VC has the host and what services are running on the server, what routing protocol is running on the router.

Virtual circuit search
The encapsulation attributes of each virtual circuit can be automatically discovered together. Currently, it supports 35 different types of ATM and POS application recognition, including MPLS, llc snap, and virtual circuit multiplexing. In addition, you can find the router IP addresses and routing protocols used for each virtual circuit.
Utilization, RMON, and RMON2 statistics
Utilization
The utilization rate is classified by different angles and provides comprehensive statistics. You can set different sampling frequencies for statistics to detect data of all VC or an independent VC, reports from 5 seconds to a week can be stored in the Wide Area Network Analyzer ., In this way, the availability of the bandwidth can be verified to ensure that the service is properly allocated, bandwidth resources are not wasted, and applications are planned based on priority.

Protocol Analysis
A comprehensive list of TCP/IP protocol clusters to view the Protocol distribution of a specified VC or all VC. Protocols are listed hierarchically in the form of folders, which can be filtered layer by layer from the network layer to the application layer. After the protocols applied in the network are refined according to the OSI protocol model, the relevant hosts are listed in the window on the right, which can be viewed in two ways: graphics and charts.

VC virtual circuit with the highest traffic)
The Wan analyzer can monitor all VC traffic at the same time and automatically classify and index different entries according to user traffic changes, such as user traffic size, CRC error volume, cell loss rate, or other standards. This feature allows you to quickly and comprehensively analyze all the VC resources at the same time.

Highest busy conversation host
The Wan analyzer can view all active hosts in the VC or selected VC. These Hosts can be filtered by Protocol application. Sort the host dialog table by different attributes and display the relevant protocols in the right window. You can view them in two ways: graphics and charts. For example, you can view the situations in which the busiest host that uses HTTP protocol to communicate occupies the specified VC bandwidth.

The busiest applications can also be displayed. You can view all TCP and UDP applications before classifying them as required.
Protocol Analysis of WAN links

To solve complex problems, the WAN analyzer integrates the comprehensive packet capture function. The analyzer has full rate packet capture capabilities for OC3 and OC12. Set the packet capture policy on the data packet capture page, or click the capture button on the host dialog statistics page to complete data capture tasks between the source and target devices. If you need in-depth analysis, you can also set filtering policies easily.
Most importantly, the WAN analyzer can capture data packets simultaneously on multiple selected virtual circuits. Detects all VC data in real time to improve the efficiency of protocol analysis in fault diagnosis and monitoring. Like other protocol analyzers, the OptiView Wan analyzer can arrange to capture the cache size, select the AAL5 protocol data unit type, filter specific protocols, TCP and UDP port numbers, set Triggering mechanisms, and other capturing methods.
For the trigger mechanism, data can be captured according to the trigger mode. After a trigger occurs, the network changes are compared. When you choose to stop, you can immediately call the Protocol Analysis Expert Software OPV-PE to view, you can also store data packets, it is stored in the computer hard disk. Then call the OPV-PE for analysis, detailed decoding.
