ORA-12514 TNS Listener is currently unable to identify the resolution of the request service in the connection descriptor
The situation occurs:
The first day installs the oracle11g correctly and completes the configuration pl/sql, the correct operation production environment. Night computer shutdown, the next day to restart the machine, can not run the production environment, prompted ORA-12514 error. Check Pl/sql connection also prompts ORA-12514 error.
solve the problem:
1, check the Oracle start service
Click on the right mouse button, select "Management", the following figure:
Under Services and applications, click on the "Services" item and double-click it to enter, as shown below:
Start all service items on Oracle, as shown below:
Reconnect Pl/sql, still error ORA-12514.
2. Consider whether the file is properly configured
To the ORACLE11G installation directory, locate the listening file "Listener.ora".
Open the "Listener.ora" file, add or modify the Sid_name name called the database instance name, as shown in the following figure:
3. Restart the database server
Start the database, check the status, as shown below:
At this point, reconnect pl/sql back to normal, rerun the production environment and return to normal.
Summary:
There are ORA-12514 problems, generally for the database monitoring related settings appear problems, the solution is as follows:
1, restart the Oracle-related "services", retry the connection attempt, if not resolved to proceed to the next step;
2, the correct set up Listener.ora file, add the corresponding instance name, restart the database server, check the service is started, try to connect, if still not resolved to proceed to the next step;
3, the Oracle client's net Cofiguration assistant correctly add or reconfigure the instance name, restart the database server, check the service items are started, try to connect (due to the author of the first two after the problem is resolved, so this step does not do a detailed description, Access to other information on the network).
