ORA-28001: the password has expired, ora-28001expired
Oracle prompt error message ORA-28001: the password has expired Cause: due to the new features of Oracle 11G, the default password expiration limit for Oracle 11G users is 180 days. If the user password is not modified for more than 180 days, the user cannot log on.
Solution: First, enter sqlpuls as sys dba to open sqlpuls SQL-> enter the User name: sys as sysdbaSQL-> password: SQL-> select username, account_status from dba_users; check whether the common user statuses are EXPIRED or LOCKED. Some of them are LOCKED <TIME> If the sysman status is expired, change the password: The statement queries the password's validity period settings, and the LIMIT field indicates the password validity period. When the password is about to expire or has expired, you can use the alter user Username identified by password statement to modify the password. After the password is changed, the USER can connect to the database normally. You can use the alter profile default limit PASSWORD_LIFE_TIME UNLIMITED statement to change the password validity period from 180 days to "UNLIMITED ". For database security considerations, it is not recommended to set the PASSWORD_LIFE_TIME value to UNLIMITED. We recommend that you modify the database user password periodically. |
