Oracle 10g standby database real-time application of redo data, standbyredo

------- Physical standby database:
Standby redo log needs to be configured for real-time apply;

When real-time applications are enabled, log application service directly receives redo data without waiting for the current standby redo log archive.
The time for failover and switchover will be greatly reduced because the standby redo log has been applied to the standby database during failover or switchover.

ALTER DATABASE RECOVER MANAGED STANDBY DATABASEUsing current logfile;


----- For logical standby databases

Alter database start logical standby apply immediate;

The rfs (remote file server) Process on the standby side receives the redo logs sent by the lgwr on the primary side and writes them to standby redo logfiles;

Log application services will apply redo data when the standby redolog is full.
