Build Environment: windows server 2008 Enterprise R2 + ORACLE 11g R2
To ensure that the system meets these requirements, follow these steps:
1. Check the physical memory size.
2. determine the size of the configured virtual memory (paging space.
For example, on winserver2008R2, click system and security> system> advanced system Settings> advanced> Settings> advanced to view the virtual memory size. If necessary, view and adjust the file information related to how the operating system adjusts the extra virtual memory.
3. Check the free disk space in the system (oracle_home is recommended for disks other than drive C ).
4. Check the disk space occupied by the Temporary Folder (the temp folder on disk C). If the disk space is smaller than 500 MB, clear all unnecessary files first. For example, the temp hard disk space is still less than 500 MB, set the TEMP and TMP directories to point to the new disk (modify the environment variable in the environment variable --> Administrator ).
In this environment, after the installation of winServer2008 is complete, it occupies about 16 GB of disk C space. You need to configure the virtual memory space as required, and add TEMP (500 mb, we recommend that you ensure that the C disk space is larger than 40 Gb when you build a project with ORACLE 11 GB as the database environment (increase or decrease as required ).
It is recommended that the server memory should be at least 4 GB to 8 GB to ensure database operation performance when constructing a project with ORACLE 11 GB as the database environment, select a server based on the specific business needs in the memory parameter 4-32 GB.
