Oracle 7.3.4 for OpenServer 5 Installation

1. Create an oracle user and dba group;

2. Adjust the system core parameters:

#./Idtune SHMMAX 409600000

#./Idtune SEMMNI 15

3. Install the SCO patch file oss459A,

Reconnect and restart the core:

#/Etc/conf/cf. d/link_unix-y

# Init 6
　
4. Edit the. profile file of the oracle user and add the following content:

ORACLE_BASE =/u/oracle
ORACLE_HOME =/u/oracle
ORACLE_SID = ora7
Export ORACLE_BASE ORACLE_HOME ORACLE_SID
PATH = $ PATH: $ HOME/bin: $ ORACLE_HOME/bin:/opt/bin:/usr/lbin :.
Export PATH

5. Install

On the Oracle 7.3.4 Enterprise Edition disc,

# Mount-r/dev/cd0/mnt

# Su-oracle7

$ Cd/mnt/orainst

$./Orainst

During the installation process, when you ask whether rootpre. sh has been executed, switch to another screen, log on as root, and execute:

# Cd/cdrom/orainst
#./Rootpre. sh

Switch to the original virtual screen and continue the installation.

6. After installation, run root. sh as root.

$ Su root

# Cd $ ORACLE_HOME/orainst

#./Root. sh

# Exit

7. test:

$ Svrmgrl
SVRMGR> connect internal
Connected.
SVRMGR> startup
ORACLE instance started.
Total System Global Area 38791712 bytes
Fixed Size 41880 bytes
Variable Size 12371592 bytes
Database Buffers 26214400 bytes
Redo Buffers 163840 bytes
Database mounted.
Database opened.
SVRMGR> shutdown immediate
Database closed.
Database dismounted.
ORACLE instance shut down.

If the preceding information is displayed, the installation is successful!
