Oracle Database Listener Suspension

1. The client cannot connect to the database.

2. Check that the database instance status is OPEN and alert_SID.log is correct.

3. The following information is displayed when you view the Database Listener:

$ Lsnrctl status

LSNRCTL for IBM/AIX assume System/6000: Version 10.2.0.1.0-Production on 05-DEC-

If the information of the listener instance cannot be queried normally, it will remain unchanged. It seems to be suspended.

Lsnrctl stop and lsnrctl start cannot be executed normally, like lsnrctl status.

Solution:

Process for killing lsnrdbms iN OS

Query:

$ Ps-ef | grep lsnr

Oraoms 598058 1 0 Oct 08-28:38/home/oraoms/OraHome_1/bin/tn

Slsnr LISTENER-inherit

Oraoms 970884 1790128 0 09:19:21 pts/0 grep lsnr

Kill process:

$ Killed 1814580

$ Ps-ef | grep lsnr

Slsnr LISTENER-inherit

Oraoms 1007764 1790128 0 09:19:42 pts/0 grep lsnr

$ Killed 598058

$ Ps-ef | grep lsnr

$ Lsnrctl status

IBM/aix risc System/6000 Error: 79: Connection refused

$

You can solve this problem by starting the listener again.

$ Lsnrctl start
