Raw Trace collection method

1. Open Trace, Help> Diagnostics> Trace with Binds and Waits.

Meaning of the Trace item

• No Trace-turns trace off.

• Regular Trace-generates a regular SQL trace by executing the following statement:

Alter session set SQL _TRACE = TRUE;

• Trace with Binds-writes bind variable values in the SQL trace file

• Trace with Waits-writes wait events in the SQL trace file

• Trace with Binds and Waits-writes both bind variable values and wait events in the SQL trace file

2. Execute business functions

3. Disable Trace, Help> Diagnostics> Trace> No Trace.

The system will pop up a window to show you the directory where the Trace file is located.

This directory is actually the value of user_dump_dest in the database system parameter table (v $ parameter). You can execute the following SQL to find the directory where the Trace file is located.

1. SELECTValueFROMV $ parameterWHERE Name='User _ dump_dest';
3. Output:/Slot/ems7061/Oracle/db/tech_st/11.2.0/admin/az1mu1__rws60145rems/diag/rdbms/az1mu213/az1mu213/trace

The number behind the trace file name is the Database Server PID, which can also be found in Help> About.
