There is a top keyword in SQL Server that makes it easy to take out the top N records, but there is no use of top in Oracle, and a simple way to implement the first N records is as follows:

Method 1: Use the Row_number function

Remove the first 5 records:

SELECT NO from (    5  ORDER by NO;

Remove the intermediate 5 records:

SELECT No from (    5 ORDER by NO;

Method 2: Use subqueries

Remove the first 5 records:

Select No from (    Select No. from Rownum_test  5  ORDER by NO;

Remove the intermediate 5 records:

SELECT NO  From (    Select No, ROWNUM RNO from (        Select No from Rownum_test  ORDER by NO    5
   
    order by NO;
