ORACLE PSU Upgrade Summary

First of all, to carry out the PSU, the first thing is to seriously look at readme.html, from the inside we can know very detailed upgrade steps have been back to the program. And avoided a lot of pits.
Before you proceed with the PSU, first confirm the version you are ready to upgrade and the version of your own system database, as we did this time, from 11.2.0.4.0 to the 11.2.0.4.2 version, to find the appropriate patch from the MOS.

The patch package can be easily found on MOS by the number behind p, from the readme.html of that version of the patch pack. We can see the requirements

2.1 Opatch Utility
You must use the Opatch utility version 11.2.0.3.6 or later to apply this patch. Oracle recommends, the latest released Opatch version for 11.2, which are available for download from My Oracle Support Patches 6880880 by selecting the 11.2.0.0.0 release.

Since we are using the system disk directly installed, the default version is this:

The version is the lowest installed version of 11.2.0.3.4, so we need an additional patch to update the Opatch version.
Oracle provides such a patch package
P6880880_112000_linux-x86-64.zip
Used to take Opatch to the latest version.
Specific steps to upgrade an Oracle PSU separately:
