Oracle GoldenGate 12.2.0.1 installation, upgrade, and removal

1. Preparatory work

Select the correct version:

OGG comparison with database vendor and database version.

Download software:

in the Oracle Technology Network ( OTN ) or use CSI Download in http://edelivery.oracle.com .

Upload software to server:

Upload directory: / tmp

2 , OGG installation

Simple steps:

[Email protected]/]$ cd/tmp

[Email protected] tmp]$ ls-ltrtotal

343924-RWXRWX---1 oracle vboxsf 352172376 Mar 10:20 121210_fbo_ggs_linux_x64_shiphome.zip

[Email protected] tmp]$ unzip./121210_fbo_ggs_linux_x64_shiphome.zip-d.

[Email protected] disk1]$./runinstaller &

Installation Address: Recommended Use OFA , such as:

/u01/app/oracle/product/12.1.2.0/ogghome_1

Open MGR

Create subdirectories

Ggsci>create Subdirs;

View Inventory File

3 , OGG Upgrade

Stop older versions of related processes

Ps-ef to view

Install new version

[Email protected] tmp]$ CD fbo_ggs_linux_x64_shiphome/disk1/

[Email protected] disk1]$./runinstaller &

Select the same local address as the old version, and replace the binaries automatically.

You can use the same port, or you can use a different port.

Direct Modification Manager Port, or modify the management parameters file MRG.PRM

After the confirmation is correct, update.

through Ggsci command to view the upgraded version.

4 , delete OGG

ogg12c Previous versions, delete directories directly.

method One: Use OUI Uninstall (SAFE)

Method Two: Hacking orainventory (unsafe)

( 1 ) Perform the following actions

[Email protected] bin]$ pwd

/u01/app/oracle/product/12.2.0.1/oggcore_3/oui/bin

[Email protected] bin]$/runinstaller-silent-deinstall "Remove_homes=/u01/app/oracle/product/12.2.0.1/oggcore_3"

( 2 ) Delete OGG installation directory.

Method Two: Hacking orainventory (not recommended)

(1) from orainventory deleted in file OGG of the items.

(2) Delete OGG installation directory.
