Previously, it was very easy to install and use ORACLE on 32-bit Windows 7. But now the system has been upgraded. tools like PL/SQL developer or navicat premium cannot connect to 64-bit oracle. 32-bit oracle can be installed in a 64-bit system, but it is not suitable. I have seen many methods on the Internet and succeeded. Now I will propose my method.
Get oracle first. You can download it for free on the Oracle official website, and the bandwidth is sufficient. the download is fast.
When you reach the following page:
First download the 64-bit Oracle main program, and then click "view all" in 32-Bit mode ". Download the client on the following page:
Install the SDK immediately after the download is completed. The installation process is from the master program to the client:
Unzip and install:
Run setup.exe in databaseto install the Oracle main program, and then record the directory, logon password, and Instance name of your Oracle Installation (if an oracle instance is created ).
Wait until installation is complete. If you have installed it before, uninstall it completely. Uninstall procedure
① Uninstall the tool to uninstall the main program. Uninstall the tool:
The uninstall process is "one-way carriage return ".
② Delete the Oracle folder. You can also stop all Oracle services and delete the folder directly, saving the first step.
Delete the residual Oracle files. For example, if the local machine is used as an example, I installed Oracle to F: \ oracle \ app \ johness \ product \ 11.2.0 \ dbhome_1 ):
1). Delete the Oracle installation directory.
F: \ oracle.
2). Delete Oracle residual files on drive C (System Disk) program files and program files (x86.
C: \ Program Files \ oracle; C: \ Program Files (x86) \ oracle;
3) Delete the remaining Oracle files under the current user.
C: \ Users \ johness \ oracle;
4). delete other residual files.
C: \ Users \ johness \ appdata for other files.
③ Clear the registry.
It is best to use a tool here. The Registry cleanup tool I used is 360.
If you do not have a good registry cleanup tool at hand, you can open the Registry Editor and delete it at Run regedit.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Services
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ controlset001 \ Services
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ controlset002 \ Services
The following Oracle related items, such:
Then you can do some final work: Search for Oracle and delete it!
Restart the computer.
In this case, it is generally OK. Don't worry, because Oracle itself is tough. If the cleanup is incomplete, you cannot reinstall the agent. errors such as Ins-20802 may occur.
Installation completed:
NOTE: If your IP address is not 127.0.0.1, by default, Oracle configures your IP address as your existing IP address (for example, if the vro assigns 192.168.1.101 to you when using the router, your Oracle is configured as 192.168.1.101. In this way, there will be a problem. When you leave the LAN or the router allocates an IP address to you again, your net configuration may be faulty ). Run:
Configuration:
Generally, this IP address is configured with localhost or 127.0.0.1 (preferably your computer host name. If your IP address is changed frequently or your network is abnormal, you should do so more ).
Then install the 32-bit client (select the administrator ). No installation, hey:
PLSQL cannot be used.
Navicat cannot be used.
Install the client. After completion, configure navicat:
Successful!
Note: PLSQL configuration is troublesome. The following steps are required:
① Configure PLSQL.
It is also configured as the client directory.
② Configure the local service for the client program as follows:
You can also:
Enter PLSQL. The connection is successful.
