OUI: Oracle Universal Installer (for details about OUI, refer to google)
My system: RedHat enterprise server 6.0
My oracle: 10g. 2.1
Graphical installation process using OUI:
1) confirm the disk size: u01 5G; swap 400 m;
Du-sh/tmp/
Df-h
2) install related dependency packages (query the official installation guide documents based on the System Version)
I do not recommend that you check whether the package is installed one by one: yum list installed | grep package name. This process can be omitted. Before oracle is installed, it will automatically detect which dependency packages are not installed and then install them again, very targeted;
3) create a group, add a user, and set a password.
Groupadd dba-g 111
Groupadd oinstall-g 110
Useradd oracle-u 110-g 110-G 111
Passwd oracle
4) Modify bash_prifile under an oracle user;
Export ORACLE_BASE =/u01/app/oracle
Export ORACLE_HOME = $ ORACLE_BASE/product/10.2.0/db_1
Export NLS_LANG = AMERICAN_AMERICA.ZHS16GBK
Export ORACLE_SID = orcl
PATH = $ PATH: $ HOME/bin: $ ORACLE_HOME/bin
5) Create an installation directory and grant permissions
It is best to adopt the optimal flaxible architecture (OFA) optimal and flexible structure for Directory design.
Mkdir-p/u01/app/oracle
Chown oracle: oinstall/u01/app/oracle-R
6) modify the kernel parameters,/etc/sysctl. conf
Sysctl-p
7) I have not done the following and installed them. On the contrary, my graphic interface cannot be started and I do not know which cause it;
Xhost + // graphical interface for accessing
[Root @ simplewp oracle] # vi/etc/security/limits. conf
[Root @ simplewp oracle] # vi/etc/pam. d/login
[Root @ simplewp oracle] # vi/etc/profile
8) modify the version number
Cat/etc/redhat-release, modified to 4
9) unzip and install
./RunInstaller
10) run the script
/U01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/root. sh: Create related files under/usr/local/bin/and/etc;
/U01/app/oracle/oraInventory/orainstRoot. sh: Changing groupname of/u01/app/oracle/oraInventory to oinstall.
I followed the seventh step in the official document, which resulted in running Sector 5. The graphic interface failed. After the atd was started, it got stuck. I watched the installation video and the instructor did not perform step 4;
For detailed procedures, refer to the oracle official installation guide;
Different Versions of oracle can be installed on one computer at the same time. You can modify the. bash_profile parameter to install it, and put it under different directories. The directories should be normalized;
