Oracle CREATE DATABASE

Let's take a look at the wizard first. oracle-oradb10g_home1 in the Start menu | Configuration and Migration Tools | Database Configuration Assistant.

1. Enter the database Configuration Assistant page, in the following figure, click "Next".

2. You can see that the wizard features a new database, metabase options, delete database, Administrative Templates. We first select a "New database" and click "Next".

3. Database templates, there are 4 types of database templates to choose from, these 4 types of templates are:

U general Purpose: The database created can be used as a transaction processing application or as a data warehouse application, both of which are the default options for database installation.

U transaction processing: Focus on day-to-day business applications; in physics, small data blocks, UID and PID are small, focus on reading and writing speed, small redundancy, suitable for online transaction processing (OLTP) database applications, such as the bank's savings business system, telephone billing system of the Telecommunications Bureau is a typical example of OLTP.

U Custom Database: Customize the template you need. Oh, and then learn to customize it.

U Data Warehouse: Focus on data analysis and statistics; physically, large data blocks, UID and PID are large, focus on analysis and research, redundancy is large, suitable for data warehousing and online analytical processing (OLAP) applications, such as the management of banks to develop business plans, Decision makers can extract data from the Data warehouse that is good for decision making.
