Oracle learning notes: Understanding the Oracle programming interface oo4o Object Model

Oo4o is a com-based component of native Oracle access provided by Oracle for Windows. It is directly based on the Local OCI and is a set of model objects similar to ADO accessing the Oracle database.

Oraserverclass: represents the physical connection from the client to the Oracle server-it exists to provide multiplexing-it can be used for different orasessionclasses.

Orasessionclass: a set of logical sessions, result sets, and connection objects from the client to the server.

Oradatabase: represents a logical session

Oradynaset: represents the Oracle result set of the client. It is used to store the results returned by select statements, stored procedures, and functions.

Orafileds and orafield: represents the field set and field information of oradynaset.

Orasqlstmt: SQL statement that does not return the result set
