Many friends in the development project not everyone with a database, but a separate host as the development of the database server, so that our developers need to connect him.
Although there are many online about the need to install the Oracle client, only need special configuration to be able to operate the database, there is not much to say, there are many online blog about this, I would like to say that the Oracle client installed on the machine to listen to other databases;
the first is to enter Oracle's Net Mananger;

The next step is to make a simple setup.
(1) Click the "+" sign here;

Enter the following interface, the service name can be defined, I here is the "service." Represents a connection to a database server, not a native:

Click Next, select the TCP/IP protocol, then go to the next step, the IP address of the target host that will be listening to enter, and then take the next step, in the following this step to pay attention to,
Here is to enter the target host database instance, need to see the target host instance name, to correspond to listen, I here is the default ORCL. Click Next to complete, you can also test whether you can connect;

(2) When you are finished, you can see the service you just added under "Service naming"

Click to see the details, you need to change the connection type to "dedicated server" to connect to the target database (be sure to note):

      (3) Confirm the error can be set to listen, here I need to say two sentences, the online information is in the original listener to add a target IP monitoring, But after doing nothing to listen to, even the monitoring service can not start, although I do not know whether it is my configuration error or someone else to explain the wrong, here is no comment.
         also add monitoring under "listener";
      listener names can be named at their own discretion, you will need to add the destination address, as shown in the add ;

       Okay, This is the simple listening configuration, click "File" to save the network configuration, all the Oracle service restart is OK.
Next we use the PL/SQL tool to connect to the target host database, where we can see a service just configured, such as:

This allows the tool to manipulate the target database ... If you want to listen to multiple target databases, repeat the above steps!
