Installed 32-bit Oracle Database softwareon a 64-bit MS Windows OS which is not supported. Here is Excerpt from Note: 740926.1 on this subject.

NOTE: For the database software, you can only install the x64 version on mswindows (x64 ).
You can not install the32-bit version database software on MS windows (x64 ).

-- 32-bit Oracle cannot be installed on 64-bit windows.

 

-- Solution

Install 32-bit Oracle Database softwareonly on 32-bit MS Windows OS.

-- Reinstall the corresponding version of Oracle software

 

 

Check whether oracle is 32-bit or 64-bit
