When setting the password for a database instance, be careful not to start with a number, or you will experience an ORA-00988 missing or invalid password (password missing or invalid) error.
After Oracle 10g installation is complete, you can use the DBCA command to create a new database instance or to maintain an existing database instance.
If you are installing an Oracle XE database, you must reinstall the Oracle XE after you install the Oracle XE and specify a password that does not begin with a number (such as password or pswd123) during the installation process.
ORA-00988: Password missing or invalid [Oracle 10g will have an error]
Sql> create user zkj identified by 123;
Create user zkj identified by 123
*
Line 1th Error:
ORA-00988: Password missing or invalid
Remember when you used the Oracle 11G version before this error occurred.
When I changed into this,
Sql> create user zkj identified by "123";
But it's OK, baffled. Finally the search for a good big moment. Maybe this is the lower Oracle database version.
Keep in mind: When setting the password for a database instance, be careful not to start with a number, or you will experience a ORA-00988 missing or invalid password (password missing or invalid) error.
