oracle10g, PL/SQL Installation documentation
Oracle is indispensable in various management system projects, and PL/SQL is also a very useful graphical management tool. Beginners (I prove it myself) often spend precious time on these two tools. While you are busy today, organize Oracle and Plsql to install (Oracle and Plsql to install package) for later use and convenience. Personal notebooks are Win7 64-bit, measured win8 available.
Download and unzip the Oracle installation package such as:
Right-click setup.exe and select the Compatibility Troubleshooter in the menu to bring up the new window.
Select try suggestions to Settings and start the program in the jump to page.
Start the program process, will pop up the console, do not care (in fact, forget what the role, previously checked), does not affect the installation.
The Oracle installation screen will pop up later (it's not easy to get to the point)
I generally choose the advanced installation, the next step (the basic installation should also be no problem, long time no use).
Select Standard Edition , Next:
Specify the home directory or whatever, no use, direct next:
Prerequisite check in to the network configuration requirements need to choose their own authentication, remember there is a solution, when used to win8.1, did not find configuration items, will not, in short, do not affect the use of oarcle. Next:
To create the database, Next:
General purpose, Next:
In this step you can specify the data name, sid, Default ORCL. Database character set I usually choose Utf-8, or I can choose to create a sample database (for beginners). Next:

Default, Next (two other options not understood):
By default, the next step (the notebook configuration is too poor to be backed up):
To facilitate memory, choose the same password (tiger or company abbreviation), Next:
Click Install (1936):
Win7 during the installation, Oracle requests network permissions and requires manual permission, which also pops down to the window:
Install End, exit (installation process about 20 minutes).
Verify the Oracle Installation:
Right-click Net Manager, run as Administrator,
To modify the host name in the Listener and service:
Click Test, change Login:
Tested successfully,
As with Oarcle, right-click Compatibility opens without repeating:
Select the installation path, Next:
The general meaning of the error is: The installation path can not have spaces and special characters, modified:
Next, no error:
All users, Next:
Click Next and the installation is complete.
Test log on to Oracle with PL/sql:
Error (blank window): This is generally due to insufficient permissions to close the open window of PL/SQL. Right-click PL/SQL Desktop shortcut to run as Administrator.
After successful login, pop-up prompts are encoded differently and ignored.
