Oracle Remote connection Timeout issue __oracle

1, check your server Oracle monitor is started:
   lsnrctl status If you do not
   create a listener or do not start, the remote is inaccessible.
2, check your client can connect to the server 1521 ports:
   telnet Server IP 1521
   because it is possible to screen the IP in the LAN link to the Port
3, check your client link Oracle configuration is normal, See the link is reported error, to query the specific error code




problem: XP firewall will restrict users ping different LAN computers.
WORKAROUND: Develop Oracle ports 1521
