Oracle results in different locales to_date wrong issues

I wrote a stored procedure that used features, some features to_date (Datefrom, ' yyyy/mm/dd '). After the discovery data insertion error is performed, the data is inserted into "0001/9/14".

Feeling baffled, I don't know why this data, after commissioning, found that the test form I entered "2014/9/1" in the program became "01-SEP-14", instantly suddenly, originally because 01 91 months 14 daily.

I know the reason for that. The solution is directly released: To_date (To_char (datefrom, ' yyyy/mm/dd '), ' yyyy/mm/dd ').
