Oracle sets auto-start upon startup, oracle starts upon startup

By default, Oracle databases in Linux do not start on their own, but many times we need to start the Database on their own, so we need to set the settings as follows:

System Environment: CentOS 6.5

ORACLE version: 10.2

1. Modify the/etc/oratab File

# Vi/etc/oratab
Find orcl:/u01/app/oracle: N and change N to Y.
Orcl:/u01/app/oracle: Y

2. Modify/etc/rc. local.
# Vi/etc/rc. local
# Add the following two lines
Su-oracle-c 'lsnrctl start'
Su-oracle-c 'dbstart'

3. View status after startup

SQL> select status from v $ instance;
