Oracle version description
Oracle has many version numbers. First, let's look at a version number of 11g:

After oracle 9.2, the maintenance release number of oracle is changed in the second digit. Before that, it was in the third digit.
1. Major Database Release Number
The first digit represents a new version of software and also marks some new features. For example, 11g, 10g.
2. Database Maintenance Release Number
The second digit represents a maintenance release level, and may also contain some new features.
3. Fusion Middleware Release Number
The third digit reflects the version number of Oracle Fusion Middleware.
4. Component-Specific Release Number
The fourth digit is the release level of the component. Different components have different numbers. For example, the patch package of Oracle.
