1. User Management

1.1 User of the system in the initial state

Under System users, execute the following query statement to see all users of the current system
SELECT * from Dba_users;

1.2 Create a user

Sql> create user XP identified by XP;

User created.

To grant permission to connect to the database:
Sql> Grant connect to XP;

Grant succeeded.

Sql> Conn Xp/xp;
Connected.

1.3 Unlocking a user and changing the password

sql> alter user HR account unlock;

User altered.


sql> alter user HR identified by HR;

User altered.

1.4 Deleting a user

Sql> Conn/as SYSDBA
Connected.
sql> drop user xp; --users do not create objects and can be deleted directly
Drop user XP

ERROR at line 1:
Ora-01922:cascade must is specified to drop ' XP '


sql> drop user XP cascade; --User cascade deletes all user-related objects

User dropped.
