How to add resource monitor instruction manual in the LoadRunner test scenario
(This article is based on the software of LoadRunner 8.1)
This article describes how to add a resource monitor to the LoadRunner test scenario, how to use the resource monitor method, and how to summarize and form an operation instruction manual to guide the tester in related work.
1. What is a test scenario?
The test scenario is a container that combines the test requirements with the test cases for conversion and is used to carry the test script that achieves the test case test target. For this container, we can define the Container specifications, this execution of containers with specifications is equivalent to overwriting the test requirements.
In LoadRunner, the test scenario is managed in controller. Generally, the interface after opening a scenario is as follows:

2. What is a resource monitor?
A resource monitor is a data collection device that provides counters for different objects.ProgramAnd save it to the scenario result file for the final performance evaluation and analysis.
3. Test the resource monitor in the scenario
In the scenario setup tool (LoadRunner Controller), resource monitoring can be found in the marked area (available groups:
The rectangular area of is all types of monitoring counters, and the elliptical area is Windows resource monitoring.
4. How to add a Resource Monitor
Drag a resource in the left-side tree to the right to add the monitoring item.
5. How to change the monitoring settings of the Resource Monitor
Right-click a resource monitor,
① Click Add measurements to add a measurement point (taking adding a Windows platform resource as an example)
You can monitor the CPU resources on the Windows server in the order of the preceding three images.
② Click Configure to configure the monitoring attributes,
For example, if the monitoring duration is set to a real scenario, select the graph time (SEC) drop-down box and select whole scenario.
