OSPF Router LSA package format

1. Role

Generated by routers, lists the router's interface status and export costs.

2. Package format

(1) V

Set to 1 to indicate that it is an endpoint of a virtual link.

(2) E

Set to 1, the description is generated by ASBR.

(3) B

Set to 1, indicating that ABR is generated.

(4) Number of links

The number of links to the router.

(5) Link status ID

Route ID of the originating router.

(6) Link type

The type of connection.

1 point-to-point

2 Transmission Network

3 Peripheral Network

4 Virtual link

(7) Link ID

The object that identifies the link connection.

1 neighbor's Router ID

2 IP address of the Dr interface

3 IP Network

4 Router IDs for neighboring routers

(8) Link data

Depends on the link Type field.

The cost of the link
